iCONN Connecticut Digital Library
iCONN is part of the Connecticut Education Network. It provides all students, faculty and residents with online access to essential library and information resources. It is administered by the Connecticut State Library in conjunction with the Department of Higher Education. Through iCONN, a core level of information resources including secured access to licensed databases is available to every citizen in Connecticut. In addition, specialized research information is available to college students and faculty.

Connecticut standards are based on the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education)and NETS (National Educational Technology Standards)national standards.

NCES (National Center for Educational Statistics)
NCES is the primary U. S. Department of Education entity for collecting and analyzing data that are related to education in the United States and other nations.

CARET (Center for Applied Research in Educational Technology)
CARET is a project of the International Society for Technology in Education in partnership with Educational Support Systems. CARET bridges education technology research to practice by offering research-based answers to critical questions.

TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study)
The Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS, formerly known as the Third International Mathematics and Science Study) resulted from the American education community's need for reliable and timely data on the mathematics and science achievement of our students compared to that of students in other countries. TIMSS is the most comprehensive and rigorous assessment of its kind ever undertaken. Offered in 1995, 1999, and 2003, TIMSS provides trend data on students' mathematics and science achievement from an international perspective.

Best Practices in Education
Best Practices is one of the projects under the umbrella of the San Diego Business Roundtable for Education. The program simultaneously provides recognition to the dedicated educators who have developed exemplary science, math and technology programs while allowing local businesses to recognize, support and celebrate the meaningful work emanating from high schools throughout San Diego County.



National Home Education Research Institute
NHERI produces high-quality research on home-based education; serves as a clearinghouse of research for homeschoolers, researchers, and policy makers and educates the public concerning the findings of all research on home education.

Research-Based Science Education
TLRBSE (Teacher Leaders in Research Based Science Education) seeks to retain and renew middle and high school teachers of science by integrating the best practices of Research Based Science Education with the process of mentoring.
